WAIPOUA YARDS.

Messrs James Macintosh and Co. report having held their usual weekly sale in their Waipouayards (Masterton) on Wednesday, 15th January, when they offered a good yarding well above advertised numbers, to a good, representative number of buyers. Owing to the prospective strike of butchers, bidding was rather inanimated, but for all that we are pleased to report a fairly good sale. Prices were as follows: 2-tooth wethers L'is (id to 14s 7d, 2-tooth ewes to Ms, mixed 2-tooths 11s to 12s Sd, forward empty ewes to 12s lid, black face lambs 8s (id to 10s, cull lambs, 5s to 6s, cows and calves, £4 8s to £5, 2-year steers £4 7s (id, 2-year heifers £4, cows in calf £4 Ss, heifers £2 10s, dairy cows £5 to £8 15s. We beg to draw the attention of our clients that the sale will be held next Tuesday, 21st January, owing to Wednesday, being Anniversary Day.
