MASTERTON HOSPITAL COMMITTEE.
MONTHLY MEETING,
Tho monthly meeting of the Masterton Hospital Committee was held in the Board's offices, Dixon-street, yesterday. Thero were present: Messrs W. Fisher (chairman), .1. C. Ewington, and I). J. Cameron.
The treasurer reported a credit balance at date, of £'227 19s 7d. Salaries and wages for tho past month amounting to £Sl 10s 4d and general accounts for supplies in respect of tho same period totalling £154 17s 4d were passed for payment. Mr G. G. Jackson, of Eketahuna, wrote expressing his thanks and appreciation of the care and attention received by his wife whilst an inmate of the institution. —Received.
The County Clerk wrote, re tho hospital committee's request for a lamp to be placed at tho corner of Te Oro Ore and hospital roads.—lt was resolved that the Council be asked to havo the lamp erected at v point to be selectod by Mr Cameron nearer to the hospital entrance.
Sister Allan, senior sister on tho nursing staff, wrote tendering her resignation, and thankiug the committee for the many kindnesses received during her four and a half year's connection with the institution.
It was resolved that Sister Allan 's resignation be accepted, and that sho be given a testimonial in recognition of her services to the hospital.
Mr' Fisher was appointed visiting member for the ensuing month, and the meeting terminated.
