WEDDING.
DOUGLAS—REYNOLDS,
A very pretty wedding Avas solemnised at St. MattheAv's Church this morniug, the Rev. Williams being the officiating clergyman, when Mr Ernest James Douglas, sou of Mr B. Douglas, of Taratahi, was married to Miss Lilian Evelyn Reynolds, youngest daughter of Mrs P. M. Reynolds, of Lincoln-road, Masterton. The bride looked charming in a navy blue costume, with a cream hat, beautifully trimmed Avith large ostrich feathers, and carried a lovely shoAVer bouquet of Avhitc daffodils. 'The bride Avas attended by tAvo bridesmaids, Miss E. Bannister (chief), and Mrs J. Douglas (sister of the bridegroom). The bridesmaids looked dainty in cream silk dresses aud large black hats. They also carried shoAver bouquets of white daffodils and asparagus ferns. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Albert Eddie as best man, and Mr W. Williams as groomsman. The bride was given away by her eldest brother, Mr Phil. Reynolds. The presents received by the neAvly-married couple Avere numerous and costly. A reception Avas held at the residence of the bride's mother, Kelevdon House, Lincoln-road, and was attended by a largo number of friends and relatives. Mrs Reynolds, the mother of the bride, was attired in a black silk dress and black hat; Mrs D. Miller, sister of the bride, navy blue tailor-made costume, and black hat trimmed with spray and pink roses; Mrs D. Cross, sister, navy blue tailor-made and large white hat trimmed with large roses; Mrs Phil. Reynolds, sister-in-law, blue dress and pink hat; Mrs Douglas, mother of the bridegroom, blue silk dress and hat to match. The bride and bridgeroom left by the mid-day train for Palmerston North, amid the best wishes of a large number of friends,, and showers of confetti and rice.
