BANGKOK CONSPIRACY
NINETY-ONE PERSONS GUILTY.
THREE SENTENCES OF DEATH.
Press Association—Electric Telegraph—Copyi.ght. Received Wednesday, at 10 a.m. BANGKOK, Tuesday. Ninet3 r -one persons were found guilty of participating in the revolutionary conspiracy. Three were sentenced to death and twenty to twentyyears' imprisonment. The death sentences were, however, commuted. The remainder only received short terms, which the King has suspended.
A cablegram from London on March Oth stated that Router's Bangkok agent reported that a revolutionary conspiracy had been unearthed in Bangkok. Army and navy officers were implicated, and many arrests were made. Siam is a kingdom embracing part of tho Indo-Chinese and part of the Malay Peninsula. The standing army numbers about 25,000, and the. navy consists of one protected cruiser (3000 tons) and 'some twenty other vessels of 100 tons and more.
