RAINFALL.
Mr J. O. Boddington reports as follows with regard to the rainfall on the Upper Plain during April:—Rain fell on 11 days during the month; maximum fall in 24 hours, 1.47 inches, registered on 24th; minimum, 1 point on 10th; total for the month, 3.83 inches. The average for April duringthe previous eight years is,, 2.7G inches. The total for the past four months is 12.8(5 inches, and -the average for a corresponding period, 12.60 inches. ' . Mr P. H. Nathan, of Longbush, supplies the following particulars:— Total rainfall. 321 points; days with rain, 13; maximum fall, 108 points on the 23rd inst. Mr H. J. Ohristensen, Mt. Bruce, reports on the rainfall at Upper Opaki during the month of April as follows: —Ram fell on 13 days, the heaviest fall in 21 hours being 2.76 inches, registered on the 23rd April. The total for the month of April was i>.B-1 inches. The rainfall for the mouth of April; 1911, was 5.06 inches.
