FIRE AT EKETAHUNA.

(By Telearavk — Press Association) EKETAHUNA, Monday. A five-roomed railway cottage in the railway yards, occupied by G. Southby, was destroyed by fire at ii o'clock on Sunday morning, with contents.

The occupants were away, and the

cause of the fire is unknown. The was insured for £50 in the "Yorkshire Company.

The cottago was situated iv the centre of a row of buildings, which for some time were in danger of ignition. The excellent work of the Brigade, under Captain Greathead, however, effected a good '' save.''
