WOOL, SKIN AND HIDE SALE.

Messrs Abraham and Williams' Ltd., report as follows:—Wo neld our usual monthly sale on Friday, 12th January and offered a good catalogue to a fair attendance of buyers. Bidding for wool, skins and hides was fairly spirited, and the prices throughout were equal to late rates. We quote:—Wool: Half bred Shropshire crossbred medium (i ; i,d to B : Vj'd, dead 5%d to I%A, lambs 7%d to 8V 4 'd, black Gd, crutchings l±%a, bellies and pieces 4i 4 d to fl'.al, locks and pieces 4d to 4kid. Skins: Crossbred lino to 7d, medium scl to (v'-.'d, inferior 5d to s> 4 'd, dead and damaged 4:1 to lambs »i.;d to (H 4 'd, hoggets 4%c1, merinos black sd, salted pelts Is 4d to 2s 7d each, butchers' skins, crossbred, os Gd to 7s, lambs 2s l l 4 d, wools 2s 2d. Calf skins: Sound calf to per lb, the latter equal '"with lib allowauco to 4s 7d each, cut ■ calf 7%d, yearlings 7d to 7 l 4 cl, cut yearlings, Hides: Ox, heavy, 7j 4 d, medium cows, medium, 5d to id, light to 8(') 7 /,; d, cows, cut and slippy, to sd, bulls 54- B d, Jieifers and steers (i%d, horse hides os, Gs, and 10s eacJi.
