TJio Wairarapa Amateur Athletic Olub rau two handicaps on tho Park Oval last evening, with tho following results: — 800 YARDS HANDIUAF. J. O. Grubb, 25yds, J; 11. A. Hodge, 17vds, 2; J. W. Nicholson, Kiyrts, U. "Also started—M. Iggulden 15yds, L. Boyd 10yds, A. O. Williams 15 yds. Grubb made tho best of his limit mark and led all tiie way. out was hard pressed at tlie finish by Hodgo. When entering on tlie last lap, it was the general opinion that tho scratch man would win, us ho was cutting down the opposition in great style. Iggulden and Nicholson lasted well, however, aud tlie handicap was too much for Fisher to pull up, but, he was the least distressed of tho three at the finish. Time, 2min 2('i 2-osecs. Mr W. Dickson was starter aud Mr G. W. Seliar judge.
