MASTERTON FISHPONDS.

SOLD TO ST. PATRIGK'S GHURCH COMMITTEE.

The sale of the property Known as -the Masterton fishponds comprisiug twelve acres of land and the buildings thereon has beeu completed by Mr R. Brown, land agent of Masterton for the Renall trustees, the purchasers lieing the St. Patrick's Church Committee. The present lease of the Wellington Acclimatisation Society will expire in 1913, and the sale of the land will necessitate the removal of the ponds Pfroin Masterton. A Daily Times reporter was informed that if the ponds are removed elsewhere by the Society it will lead to a movement .having for its object the forming of a separate acclimatisation society for "Wairarapa and the establishment of fishponds on some site in the vicinity of Masterton. It is understood that tho St. PatTick Church Committee has purchased the land for church and school purposes.
