WEDDING.
SKEET—GAWITH.
A wedding of considerable local interest was solemnised in St.' Matthew's Church this afternoon, when Mr Bertram Vivian Skeet, a wellknown member of the staff of Dalgcty and Co., was married to Miss Doris Gawith, daughter of Mr and Mrs C. F. Gawith, of Masterton.
The bride, who was given away by her father was dressed in white embroidered silk and carried the usual orange blossom boquet. She was attended by her sister, Miss G. Gawith, and her two cousins (Misses Tylee) as bridesmaids. They were attired in white'silk, with 'pink hats to match, and each carried a pretty boquet. Mr R. Gawith acted as best man, and Mr Campbell Carley as groomsman. After the ceremony, which was conducted by the Rev. H Watson, a reception was held at the residence of tlie bride's parents, "Kooke," Upper Plain, anil the large number of guests present from all part of the district, testified to the popularity of the young couple. This evening a ball in honour of the marriage will be held in the Exchange Hall.
