CLAUSE TWO CARRIED.

BY MEANS OF KANGAROO CLOSURE.

Press Association—Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Received Wednesday. B.s_a. m. LONDON, Tuesday. The House of Commons, by moans of the "Kangaroo" closure, disposed of the amendments to clause two of the Veto Bill.

Mr Asqnith agreed that the two years, prior to the Bill's passage over the heads of the Lords, should date from the second reading of the Bill and not from its introduction.

The Government refused an amendment ensuring that sessions shall be of ordinary length not bogus sessions created in order to evade the Parliament Bill.
