ENTERTAINMENTS.

THOMPSON-PAYNE PICTURES.

The fiual presentation of the current programme at the Foresters' Hall last evening was greeted with a good audience, which thoroughly enjoyed the excellent bill-oi-fare provided. To-night a particularly fine range of pictures will be shown, the popular dramatic studies being in strong force. Those who witnessed that splendid film, "Lieutenant Rose aud the-Stolen Submarine," recently will be pleased to hear that another of this very acceptable type of drama iR included in the present series—viz.. "Lieutenant Rose aud the Ohiuese Pirates." It is an exciting subject, well acted, and the photography is excellent. Another drama that is sure to please is entitled "The Cowboy's Devotion." The many intensely interesting situations in the picture include one depicting a cowboy's fight against Indians,iu order to save a lady whose male escort had deserted her wheu the Indians had attacked tliem. Those of a sporting turn of mind will find "The Legend of a Horse Shoe" to their taste, while lovers of dramatic studies of the middle ages should appreciate "The Room of the Secret." The comics must be classed amongst the best ever shown by the firm. Patrons will find the programme excellent in all respects. t»nd one which will well repay a vsiit to the cosy little picture theatre in Queeu-street.
