At the wool sales prices are firm with increased competition. Faulties are still weak. Americaus are operating for the best New Zealand crossbreds, but the Home trades are taking the bulk. The shares are unchanged. Silver 34 9-16.
The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London House :—Sheepskins have declined per lb since last sales. Combing merino, clothing descriptions, short and shorn sheepskins, and crossbred lambskins %d, crossbred combing. Wool—Tlie sale 3 progress firmly, but there is little American demand for crossbred wool.
