The cricket match Australiaus v. Manawatu was continued to-day. Kelleway aud Smith, the not out meu, faced the bowling of Greer and Cobbe.
Bardsley joiued Smith, aud a fine partnership resulted iv the score beiug taken to 2G4 before Smith fell lbw to Greer. He made 107, including eight sixes, a five aud six fours. Both be aud Barsdley played vigorous cricket, and lauded the ball iv tho middle of the crowded graudstaud frequently. Mayue joiued Bardsley aud carried the score to 304, when Bardsley was clean bowled by Wells, after making 7(5 attractively. Mauawatu's secoud iuniugs commenced after a delay by the heavy raiu. The visitors commenced by bowliug soft stuff from Hopkins aud Warne.
