Mr A. Crawford, of Tauherenikau, was thrown out of a brake iv Featherston on Mouday, a wheel passing over his chest, aud fracturing two ribs.

Ou Monday evening, Mr H. A>re, of Featherston, while banging pictures, slipped off a pair of steps, and fell against a table, with tho result that a rib was broken.

The stewards of the Wairarapa Racing Club met at Featherston on Mouday afternoon, aud decided to engage the Greytown Brass Baud for the Easter meeting. Messrs W. E. Bidwill aud J. S. Cuudy were appointed to represent the Olub at a conference iv Wellington to draw up regulations for the issue of all complimentary tickets. Tluee new members were elected. Bookmakers' fees were fixed at £20 inside and £15 outside. It was decided to have a new crow's nest erected. The following teuders were accepted for the privileges : — Inside ami outside booth, P. Rogers, Club Hotel, Greytown: fruit stall, M. Constable, Wellington ; horse yards, C. J. Plare, Greytown.

The aggregate results for Messrs J. O. Bidwill's aud M. N. Hardies trophies, presented to the Featherston Rifle Olub, are:—o. Nix 384. W. Nix 28:j, H. Williams 274, T. Benton 274. L. Beutou 272, W.
