ALLEGED BREACHES OF THE LICENSING ACT.
A CARTERTON BREWER AND OTHERS.
A number of interesting cases will come before the Masterton Magistrate's Court on Friday next for alleged breaches of the Licensing Ace. William Bnrridge, brewer, Cartertou, will bo charged that botweeu November Ist, ISK)',>, and January 20th, 1910, ho did send liquor to Thomas B. Leo, who was residing in the NoLicense district of Mastertou, having reasonable ground to suspact that cho said liquor was intended to be kept for sale therein. Bert Sewell, Masterton, will be charged that on or aoout January :51st, 11)10, he did give au order for liquor intended to be sent into the No-License district of Masterton, and failed to give to the person to whom the order was given a statement in writing of his (Bert Sewell's) name and address. William Heggie, of Masterton, will be charged that, acting on behalf of a resident of the JS'o-License area of Masterton, he did obtain liquor to be delivered in the said district without notifying the vendor that the liquor was to be delivered to the paid resident.
