Au appeal was received from tho Australian minors for financial assistance, aud afror a lengthy discussion it was docided to vote the sum of: twenty guineas to assist them to obtain redress. During the di.scn.ssjou, Mr Wade's Coercion Act caino in tor inncli ad verse comment, aud sincore sympathy was expressed i'or Mr Bowling and his comrades, who, it was stated, had been martyred while endeavouring to obtain what was due to them as workers. A resignation from one of the (Jo.'umitteemeu was received with regret, and another was elected to 111 i his place. Two other mombers, who are guilty of breaches of the rules, wore called upon to resign. The secretary's report concerning a four weeks' organising tour iv Northern Hawke's Bay and Gisborue district cams under favourable discussion, and Mr Abbott was complimented on the energy he bad displayed in furthering the work of the Union in those districts. A vote of thanks to the Chairman terminated the meeting.
