PLAGUE OF CATERPILLARS.
AUCKLAND EXPRESS HELD UP
(By Telegravh—Press Association.) AUCKLAND, Thursday.
The train which left Wanganui yesterday afternoon, when a few miles from Fordeil, encountered millions of caterpillars crossing the railway live, their objective beiug a field of oats. The train was stopped, through the wheels skidding, till sand was used.
