WEDDING.
COOM—BENNETT
At St. Matthew's Ciiurch, this afternoon, a pretty and fashionable wedding was celebrated. The contracting parties were Mr Harry Floyd Coom, only sou of Mr Coom, of Wellington, and Miss Beatrice Hannah Bennett, fourth daughter of the late Mr J o?eph Bennett, of Otahnao, Masterrou. Rev. H. Watson was the officiating minister. The bride was attired in a handsome white cliarmeuse dress, with veil aud orange blossoms, and was given away by her brother, Mr C. J. Bennett. The bridesmaids, Misses Wilinot and Dorothy Bennett (sisters of the bride), Mace, and Jessie Baird, wore pretty frocks of white silk and blue hats. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Wilson as best man. Mr aud Mrs Cooni's future Home will be at Maknri. The church was prettily decorated with white flowers—a thoughtful action by some of the bride's girl friends.
A large reception was held iv the afternoon at Otahuao by the Misses Vnllance, aunts of the bride, and ■was attended by friends and relatives from all parts of Wairarapa, also from Wellington. Tho young couple were the recipients of many useful and valuable presents, testifying to their popularity.
