At the Epsom Summer meeting, today, the placings for the principal race were as under :— The Oaks Stakes, of 5000 soys ; for three-year-old fillies, Dst eacli; about 1% miles: Mr W. Cooper's eh f Perola, by Persimmon—Edmee .. 1 His Majesty's b f Princesse de Galles, by Gallinule—Ecila .. 2 Verne ,5 (Perola won four races as a two-year-old, the most valuable being the Rous Memorial at Goodwood. This season she has run second in the Dewhurst Plate and third iv the One Thousand Guineas Stakas.)
