ALMOST GENEROUS.
Harry M. Daughorty, of Columbus, who, some persous bohevo, will be the next United States Senator from Ohio, wbilo in tho national capital recently, told this story to the Washington Post. Two Irishmen wore discussing the doath of a friend. Said Pat: "Sure, Casoy was a good fellow." "Ho was that." replied Miko. "A good fellow, Casey. " "Aud a choorful man was Casey," saitl Pat. "A cheerful man was Casey, the oheorfullest I ever know," ochood Mike. "Casoy was a gouerous mau, too," said Pat. "Generous, you sayr Well, I don't know so much about that. Did Casey evor buy you anything." "Well, nearly," replied Mike, scratching his head. "One day ho camo into Flaherty's bar-room, whore me aud my friends wero drinking, and he said to'us: 'Well, men, what are wo going to havo—rain or suow*:" "
