The General Commit toe of the Mastertou Agricultural and Pastoral Associatiou appears to consider it to be more prudent to hold next year's Show on rhe old grounds, rather than provide the heavy expenditure required to equip tho Solway purchase. A leading consideration iv making the Solway purchaso was a doubr as to the ability of the Association to finance the new undertaking. Since rhen a financial stringency has set in, which increases the difficulty of providing ways and means. If the Committee, under such oricumsrances, deems it to be expedient to wait "till the clouds roll by" before completing its Solway scheme, if should have the support of members generally.
