A SIGNIFICANT WARNING.
The followiug letter, under the heading, "Will they ever learn," dated Chicago, 14th August, appears in the current number of the "Inland Printer" : —"Why can not printers, pressmen, bookbinders, as well as others seeking employment, learn that to apply for work 'reeking with the smell of liquor/ is the surest possible way notstu got a job. How often is it reiterated.by the paper, as well as employers, tliat drinkers are not wanted anywhere, nor will they be employed, if uou-drinkers cau be secured. Out of the large number who have applied to me for work here in Chicago since January Ist last, easily 90 per cent, were drinking men. The sober men were busy, you see. Workmen save the dimes you spend for Jflhor and put them iv the savings Trauk, as a safeguard against such troubles as you have seeu for tlie past year. Do not sp.nd your hard-earned money for that which is neither food nor drink, and under the influence of which you have done all the "fool things" of your life."
