A telegram was forwarded this aftoruoon ti tho Right Hou. Sir J. G. Ward, Posfcmastor-Gouoral, as follows:—

"Welliugtou Liquor Party are storing iv Post Offices, including Christchurch large quantities of printed matter antagonistic to No-Licenso which is boing hold back, and is now date stamped November (ah. The object of this arraugemout is clearly to got the stuff delivered as closely as possible to the date of the poll, so that the No-Liceuse Party will have little opportunity of effective reply before tho people's vote is cast. We fool sure you will uot approve of the Postal Department being used for the couvouieuce of tbe Liquor Party in its oppositiou to social reform, and trust you will deal- immediately with tho improper action of the Department. Tho Chief Postmaster received our protest courteously, aud admits the arraugemeut we complain ot was made, but bad uot realised its siguili-eauce.-LEONARD M. ISITT."
