Election Campaign. TO THE ELECTORS OE MASTERTON. LADIES AND GENTLER/SEN - In offering you my services as Member of Parliament for this important electorate, 1 fully appreciate the responsibility of representing this growing district. X returned, 1 shall spare no effort in. advancing tho interests of all sections of the community. This Electorate is not receiving fair treatment with regard to acquiring land for settlement. The result is that those of our farmers' sons, who are at all ambitious, are compelled to find land outaido the district. We want more producers, and my policy will bo to secure laud for these sterling young settlers. Last year 114,000 acres were settled in tho Waimrapa Electorate, as against llio small arca'of ()7'J acres of Grown Lands in Maslcrton. I am in favour of Freehold. 'This is Lin , only tenure that will encourage our settlers to fully improve their holdings. We all participate in tin;greater wealth that, is produced from highly improved land. I pledge myself to spare no effort in getting a railway through to I'ongaroa. This work ought i.o have been carried out years ago. Yours obediently, JOHN HUNTER. TO THE ELECTORS OF MASTERTON. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN— I have represented you in Parliament for eighteen years. Believing that 1 still have your confidence, I again offer you my services. You have honoured me, and the Liberal principles which I profess, with splendid majorities at six consecutive elections. 1 trust to see the old Liberal flag for the seventh time triumphant on 17th November next. You have ever recognised my public services with such kindness and generosity that I feel sure that they are safe in your hands. I see no reason why the wonderful progress of the past eighteen years should not be continued in the future if Liberals aye true to themselves and to their policy. Yours faithfully, A. W. HOGG.
