Prices of admission were fixed at 3s for gentlemen. 2s for ladies, and Is for the gallery. It was resolved to meet again next Thursday evening. ; The final in the medal competition amongst the lady members of the Featherston Golf Club was won by Mrs E. H. Saunders, with Miss Viles second. The Kaituna Co-operative Cheese Company has apDomted Mr F. E. Groube, of the Longbusii factory its manager. The orders of the Carterton Rifle Volunteers for August are :—Lieutenant Hart will act as orderly officer; Sergeant Pulsford, orderly sergeant; Corporal Vickerstaff,orderly corporal; Private Phelps, company orderly; appointments —Privates Judd and Morgan to be lance-corporals ; Corporals Underhill and Vickerstaff, Lance-Cor-porals Judd and Morgan and Privates Martin, Eagle and Price are especially complimented for their passes in signalling The Wellington Education Board has confirmed the appointment of Miss Nellie Herdman as pupil teacher at the Carterton School
