and Port Melbourne teams culminated in a riot. The refereo was knocked clown, and sustained a slight concussion of the brain.

The Senior football matches, to-day, resulted : Linwood G, beat Sydenham Sj; Albion 22, beat Christchurch nil ; Merivale 12, beat Canterbury College 3. DUNEDIN, Saturday. The football matches were continued to-day in splendid weather. Dunedin sustained their first defeat of the season, being beaten by Southern by (5 points to nil. Zingari-Richmond beat Alhambra by sto 3, Universiy beat Union by 1(5 to 3, Kaikorai beat Taieri Rovers by 9 to nil, and Port Chalmers beat Pirates by 11 to 8.
