THURSDAY-SENIORS v. SATURDAY JUNIORS.

The representative match, Thursday Seniors v. Saturday Juniors, was played at Cartertou on Saturday, t.io latter winning by 0 points to 5. The winners had slightly the host of tho game iv the first spell, and scored a try from a passing rush through the agency of Welch. The junior forwards wero a good lot and might have boon clangorous were it not for the sound defence of Thursday players. Tho latter had the superior back team, but, owing to the weakness of tho forwards, they wero given little opportunity to show their agility. At tho commencement of the second spell tho juniors compelled their opponents to force on several occasions. Repeated attempts to scoro woro turned aside, but finally from a, good forward onslaught, Desmond got through. No goal resulted. Tho Thursday players then took a hand in the game,'and before tho end Tait scored a try which McGuiuuess converted. With tho scores so close play for tho last few minutes was very exciting and victory might have gone to either side. Mr E. McKenzio was rofereo.
