THE WORLD'S FLOCKS.
The latest siieep statistics of the world leveal a .striking diminution iv their numbers, compared with thirteen years ago. They were theu estimated ar oo? ■millions, 'while to-day they are 47!) millions, a falling oft" of 44 millions. This shrinkage iv sheep, coupled with the increase iv population, at least justifies feelings of solid security aud hopefulness to all engaged iv sheep husbandry. There is another interesting fact iv this connection, namely, whilst this diminution iv sheep has been goiug on, the yearly sales of Cooper's Dip have continuously increased. Thirteen years ago, its output would dip 140 million sheep. To-day, it suffices to dip over 250 millions ! Remarkable as this statement may seem, it is nevertheless absolutely true. Ifc is based ou the official certificate of a Chartered Accountant, who has recently examined the books of the Berkhamsted Factory. It ineaus that the yearly sales of "Cooper" are sufficient to dip more thau half of all the sheep now grazing ou the pastures of the world.
There cau be only one explanation of this increasing and universal preference—namely, that Cooper's yields the most profitable results of all sheep dips.- 1
