GRAIN AND PRODUCE MARKET.

111// Telegraph.—Pre.™ Association.) CHRISTOHUROH, Tuesday.

There is no business to report in the grain market, everything being practically at a standstill. There is very little demand for chaff, aud few orders are comiug in for potatoes, as buyers lately obtained supplies from stocks held in store by merchants. Auckland people are hoping that the American fleet will require 10D tons, but nothing definite will be known till it arrives. This quantity will have little effect upon the market in face of the sapplies that have gone forward. Iv the meantime local prices are easier, though there are not many potatoos offering by growers.
