He aud his companions broke iuto a run, the crowd pursuing, aud crying, "Lawfcou, the traitor ; he's the man who sold us." The four members rau like hares,aud the road metal flew like hail. This human coursing match was ended by the men taking shelter in an hotel alley. Quo of the Executive turned iv a doorway aud presented a revolver, aud threatened to shoot the first uiau who crossed the threshold.
Polbe reinforcements arrived aud quietened the mob, which contented itself with hooting the Parliamentary Labour Members aud cheering the Labour Council.
