GOOD ATTENDANCE CERTIFI-
CATES
The Mastertou District High School aud Sido School broke up yesterday aftoruoou for the Christmas'holidays. Tho Chairman of the School Committee, Mr R. Brown, and Mr H. H. Cork attended aud presented the certificates issued by the Education Department for good attendance. To obtain a first-class certificate a scholar is required to attend every time the school is opeu duriug the year. A margin of five half-days is allowed in order to qualify for a second class certificate In several cases scholars havo atteuded the whole, or nearly the wholo, of their school life without losing attendances, while in many cases certificates have been earned for a number of years iv succession. The following is a list of tho names of certificate winners for the past year:—
SECONDARY CLASSES. — Firstclass certificates — Aiduey Jackson, 11 years; Dorothy Jackson, 11 years; Amy Shaw, 5 years; Christina McKeuzie, 4 years; Aileeu Murray, 4 years; Jessie Campbell, 4 years; Arthur Wheeler. Secoud-class certificates —Alice Campbell, 3 years; Herbert Bray, 2 years; Lexio Green; Christina Weston; Constance Evans; Hector Milne; Wilfred Hampton; Reginald Lord.
Standard VI. — First-class certificates—Myrtle Reed, 5 years ; Richard Ohappoll, 4 years ; Joseph Ewiugtou; 4 years ; William Wagg, 3 years; Hazel Fuller; Dorothy Jorgenson. Secondclass certificates—Elsie King. 3 years, Easter Miller, 2 years; Doris Lett; Stanley Hardiug.
Standard V —First-class Certificates : Richard Webber, (5 years; Jessie Miller, 3 years; Grace Tooby, 2 years; Reginald Cairns, 2 years; William Lawrence, 2 years; Berry Leach, Christopher Tait. Second-class Certificates: Alex McKeuzio, .5 years; Goorgo Wagg, 3 years; Percy Fly, 3 years; Kate Shaw, 3 years; Lauder Thompson, 2 years; William Terry, 2 years; Doris Beutley.

When it is remembered that a severe epidemic of measles and influenza has prevailed duriug the year, the above results are creditable to scholars aucl parents.
