Sir, —Seeing an account of shearing in Victoria recorded in your paper perhaps you, will kindly find space for the following:—l have two shearers shearing for me who are making good tallies with hand shears. I can mention one especially good man, Bert Stidoljsh, who shore 778 sheep in one week, up till three o'clock Saturday; ancl this last five days his tally has been from 153 to 159 each day. and then.he comes up smiling for his coffee at a quarter to five next morning, ready for another 153, showing we have still some good hand shearers in New Zealand.—l am, etc.,
