WAIRARAPA ATHLETIC ASSOCIATION.
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE
Tiie Executive of the Wairarapa Athletic Association was held on Saturday evening, Messrs J. B. McKeuzie (chairman), F. and A. Haughey, H. J. O'Leary, A. Turner and J. H. Pauling being present.
The following sports permits were grauted -.—Pahiatua Amusement Club, Anniversary Day; Makuri Sports and Picnic Club, New Year's Day; St. Patrick's Sports Association (Masterton), March 19th.
The Committee decided to ask the authorities at headquarters to re-con-sider the disqualification of H. Wakelin, and to recommend that the rules regarding registration should apply to handicap events only. The meeting discussed briefly the new rules and regulations, and the following motion was passed:—That the Committee recommend that the new regulations be inoperative until after the conference of delegates to be held at New Plymouth in February next.
The Secretary was granted rermission to attend the various sports meetings, to receive registrations of competitors, a commission of sixpence per new member to be paid to him for so doing. The Secretaries of the various Clubs were, as an alternative, given permission to retain sixpence for their Clubs out of the fees collected.
Mr J. B. MoKenzie was appointed delegate to attend the New Plymouth Conference.
Another meeting of the Executive was decided upon for early in January, to discuss the new regulations.
