Colonel Sir Duncan Mackenzie has occupied all the commanding positions i-Jpluland. Columns are out iv various directions collecting the rebellious and reassuring the loyalists.
Colonel Mackenzie has noticed the absence of youug meu from Usuta, and that no firearms have beeu fouud, though it was understood previously that these were plentiful. He has warned the natives that they must deliver up rebels aud arms by tomorrow, otherwise the troops will take action.
The Native High Court at Pietermaritzburg fined the actiug-chief Quabe £500, besides sentencing him to eighteen mouths' imprisonment, ou a charge of seditiou.
Accused was allowed bail pending an appeal to the Privy Council.
