There will be throughout New Zealand a general sentiment of regret that Lionel Terry lias been recaptured. He has paid a severe penalty already for his offence against the law, aud the monomauiacal idea which impelled him to commit a crime is apparently exhausted. The letter of the law made it imperative that the authorities should re-arrest him, aud we must commend their action in this respect. We trust that next time that Lionel Terry eludes official vigilance he will be able to escape out of New Zealand altogether. He is getting ou the nerves of the people in this Dominion.
