COPPER AT MAHARAHARA.
THE FINDING OF ANOTHER
LODE,
Mr Hall, the mining expert, has discovered auother five lode of copper in 'the ranges at Maharahara, aud he has left some satisfactory looking stove at the Woodville Examiner office. This stone is only from the outcrop, but from appearance we would say it looks very rich in copper aud other min■erals. Mr Hall says it only remains for the Maharahara Copper Company starting operations, when the field will go ahead by leaps and bounds. The Mastertou syndicate's ground, which adjoins the Copper Company's lease, is a good property, and we understand the syndicate intends floating it into a big company after the New Year.
The Napier syndicate have applied for a mineral lease of 300 acres, and it is their intention to thoroughly profttct it before it is formed into a comny. - The local paper adds:—There is bound to be a boom in the Maharahara district shortly, for we hear that if the syndicates and company at present in possession of the field do not intend to develop their claims, several Melbourne speculators are prepared to go right on with the work.
