WELLINGTON, Last Night. The High Commissioner cables from London, under date 11th December:— The wool sales have closed, and the market is irregular and unsettled on account of the mouey market being exceedingly stringent. Bayers will not buy more tliau is absolutely necessary, and competition is slight. The estimated values are as follows:—Five crossbred, all grades, Is to Is 3d; medium crossbreds, all grades, 9d to lH;,'d; coarse crossbreds, all grades, 8d"to 10i.;d; superior merino, all grades. Is "to Is 3d ; medium merino, all grades, lO'od to Is o,',,'d : inferior merino, all grades, 7d to lOd.

Dalgety ami Co., Ltd., havo received the following cable message from their Loudou House, uudor date of the 10th i us t u : _\Vool sales closed irregular. Prices are scarcely maiutaiued, and are, ou the average, lower as follows: Greasy super wools: Top lots, five per cent. ;* good and medium merino wools, ten to' fifteen per cent. ; inferior and faulty wools, fifteen to twenty per cent.*: flue crossbred wools, fifteeu per ceut. Out of the net quantity available for sale, some 55.000 bales have been sold for Home consumption, 50,000 bales for the Continent, 2000 bales for America, leaving 14,000 bales to be carried forward to the next series.
