The executive of the Associated Society of Engineers aud Firemen has endorsed the settlement of the railway -->iimended that it be
(Uspntßi rvnrl iyw**given ii fair trial, inasmuch as . embodies the society's principle that each grade should be treated separately. The executive' eulogised the work of Mr Lloyd-George, but regretted that recognition of all workers' was not obtaiued. Mr Lloyd-George, President of the Board of Trade, is appointing a committee of railway experts aud others to consider rates, aud also what economies may be effected with the view of reducing superfluous competition.
