FEATHERSTON FIRE BRIGADE.

The annual meeting of the Feather - ston Fire Brigade was held on Thursday night, Hydrantmau L. F. Keys in the chair. The report and balancesheet showed a credit of £6 (5s 9d, aud was read and adopted. It was decided to join the United Fire Brigades' Association. Messrs S. Check aud H. Better were elected members. Following were the officers elected : —Patron, Mr W. Barton; President, Mr A. J. Toogood ; Vice-Presidents, Messrs Jas. Crawford and J. Card; Captain, Mr H. Retter; Lieutenaut, Mr S. Check; Foreman, Mr J. Munro; First Branchman, Mr A. Tait; Second Branchman, Mr T. Tidswell; First Hydrautman, Mr B. Purcell; Second Hydrautmau, Mr L. F. Keys; Secretary, Mr W. Tucker; Treasurer, Mr W. Gilpiu; Messengers, Messrs H. Walker and L. Benton. The above officers were constituted a Committee. For the interest taken by him in the Brigade, Mr Retter was the recipient of a silvermounted pipe. A vote of thanks was passed to the Greytown Brigade for the use of uniforms.
