Trawling.

AUCKLAND, Last Night. The Nora Niven's trawling between Napier and Auckland appears to be very satisfactory. Between Napier and Portland Island, in eighty-two fathoms, very good fish were found, but just north of Table Cape the results were not so good. Trawling was continued from a point six miles west of the East Cape till Saturday, at an average of about three trawls daily, the water ranging from one hundred to thirty-five fathoms. The fishing was remarkably good, the catohes being chiefly of terihiki and schnapper. The trawler leaves to-day for the Bay of Plenty and Mercury Bay.
