O'NEILL'S BUCKJUMPERS.

To-night and To-morrow

As we go to press all is bustle and excitement between the Waipoua bridges, where the big marquee is being fitted up for to-night's performance. A great programme is promised, which should gratify the most ardent seeker after novelty, excitement and thrilling feats of equestrianism. Speaking of a Wellington performance, the Evening Post says:—The tent where the daring O'Neills ride their fiery mustangs was again crowded on Saturday night by an eager crowd, which was clearly on the look-out for fun—and got it. The show is novel and very exciting, while the amateur riding competition furnishes an opportunity for much laughter, and 'is occasion for some humour on the part of those who remain on the safe side of the fence. Other interesting items are the high-jumping of the mare Ruby, the tricks of the clever pony Saudow, and the daring riding of Miss Button and the Brothers O'Neill, while the lassoo . work of "Mexican Bill" is strange enoiigh to be almost startling. Though rain fell in torrents on Saturday, everybody and every thing within the tent were amply protected, the canvas proving quite water-tight.
