The Wellington Board.
The newly-formed Fire Brigade Board held it first meeting at the Town Hall, yesterday morning. There were present—Messrs ' James McKerrow (president), R. M. Simpson, C. A. Ewen, F. Allen (underwriters' representatives), and G. Shirtcliffe, , J. Smith and F. Cohen (City Councillors). Mr James McKerrow was elected Chairman. The Fire Brigades' Act was considered at some length, and several points not altogether clear were singled out for interpretation.
