The German-American Treaty
NEW YORK, Sunday
The American Customs regulations, embodied in the agreement with Germany declare that valuations made by Chambers of Commerce officially connected with the Government shall be accepted as evidence of price.
The stipulation benefits Franco, not Britain, as in Britain the Chambers of Commerce are not official.
It is hoped that the British Government will arrange to appoint agents to superintend valuation.
