Work Resumed in Southland

INVERCARGILL, Last Night. Work at killing places is reported at pretty Avell full blast to-day.
A local ex-striker says he sees no objection to the stipulation in North in regard to fines for mistakes.
There were seventeen men employed at WallacetoAvn, this morning, and t.Aventy at Mat aura Elsewick Clydebank Works. The. agreement entered into is the same as that obtaining at Christchurch, except for slight variation to suit local conditions. From 30,000 to 30,000 sheep and lambs Avere on Southland Frozen Meat Company's books at the time of tjie strike, and, of course, these Avill receive first attention, and Avhen put through the way will be clear for others to come forward.
Both sides are pleased that an understanding has been arrived at, as inconvenience resulted to the Companies and the men could not afford to remain idle.
