PERILS OF THE SEA.

Several Steamers Wrecked. No Loss of Life(Received Last Night, at 11.32 p.m.) LONDON, Yesterday. The steamer Suevic struck the rocks under the lighthouse at Lizard Point, during a fog, on Sunday night. A rough south-Avest gale Avas bloAving. Three lifeboats Avere sent out to rescue the passengers. The steamer struck the rocks at 5 o'clock in the morning. Four hundred passengers and the crew, numbering 160, Avere gradually landed, the lifeboats assisting the Suevic boats in the Avork of lauding. Tho inhabitants are providing every comfort. Many Avomen and children were early brought ashore. Splendid discipline Avas preserved, and everybody Avas saved. (Lizard Point is the southernmost headland in England, being in Cornwall, at the entrance to the English Channel.)
