SCHOOL COMMISSIONERS.
The School Commissioners met yesterday. Present: Messrs J. R. Blair (chairman), A. W. I%g, M.H.R., and P. Y. Lethbridge, M.H.R., and J. H. W. Wardrop (secretary). Accounts totalling £!)(i 2s fid. were passed for payment. Of the sum of £2408 2s 7d iv baud it was decided to allocate £2200 as follows :—Primary education, Wellington Education Board, £12U3 Os 8d; Waugauui Education Board, £70(i 13s 4<l; total, £2000. Secondary education, Wellington Girls' College, £7U 7s 8(1: Wellington Girls' High School, £45 Is2d; Waugauni Girls' High School, £34 17s; Palmerston North High School, £40 14s 2d; total, £200. The action of the chairman in authorising the secretary to place on deposit the sum of £500 was approved. It was decided to dispose of twentyone acres at Hautapu, required by the Government for scenic purposes, for £78 (is. The tender of A. J. Toxward (41s (id per acre) was accepted for a lease of section 12, block XIII, Kairanga.
