ARBITRATION COURT.
The New President
It is understood that Mr W. A. Sim is to take up his duties as president of the Arbitration Court in February, when Justice Chapman's term expires. Mr Sim, who is a native of Wanganui, is a member of the Dunedin legal firm of Mondy, Sim and Stephens, formerly Stout, Mondy and Sim. He passed his legal examination before he was 21 years of age, going through his articles in Wanganui. He has for many years been recognised as one of the leaders of the Bar in Dunedin. For some time he acted as chairman of the Conciliation Board in Dunedin. A brother of Mr Sim is Judge Sim, of the Native Land Court, and another brother is a member of the firm of Messrs Johnston and Sim, Palmerston North. His father was a partner in the erstwhile firm of Sim and Holland, flour-millers, in business in Wanganui in the early sixties. Mr Sim has just returned from a trip home.
