London Market Advices.
Dalgety and Company, Ltd , Wellington, have received the following cables from London:— Dated 4th inst—Tallow : Expect a decline in prices at to-morrow's sales as compared with 7th November sale as follows: — Prime mutton and beef tallow, Is to Is Gd per cwt Other descriptions, 2s to 2s 6d, at least.
Dated sth inst. —1898 casks were offered at tallow sales, twenty-nine sold. There are sellers at basis as per our telegram of 4th, but no buyers.
Dated 6th inst. —Butter: Market weak. Since our telegram of the 29 th ultimo the Copenhagen official quotation is higher by one kroner (about Is l£d) per cwt. The total imports of butter' into the United Kingdom for the week, ending the Ist inst., amounted to 61,000 cwt., as compared with 68,000 cwt. for the corresponding period of 1905.
Frozen meat. —Frozen mutton (in'general) prices are firmer. We quote:—New Zealand frozen lamb (prime Canterbury), 321bs to 401bs, 6*d. Australian lamb, prime, 6|d. Australian mutton, light under 501bs, s|d. :;.-., . . .
