CORRESPONDENCE.
Mount Holdsworth.
[TO THE EDITOR.I
Sir, —Do you know what is being done about the track to Mount Holdsworth ? It was most unfortunate that' the King's Birthday turned out to be so wet that the arrangements were upset. Still that is no reason why the matter should be abandoned altogether. It is such a pity not to make some movemement, for time is going on and the Christmas holidays are approaching when mountaineering would be such a healthy recreation for our young people, and the opportunity of becoming acquainted with the beauties of Nature in our own district would bo taken advantage of by a great many. The formation of' an Alpine Club, which has been welcomed by quite a number, is only awaiting some encouragement from the Committee, and perhaps that body will accept a hint, and call a meeting at an early date. I am, etc., T. C. Mastorton, 20th November.
